Why should I use the online application system?
Applying for Visa or a Tourist Card through the online application system can be done from the comfort of your home at any given time of day. This includes submitting all required documents and payment of fees from your desktop, laptop, or mobile phone. If your E-VISA is approved, it will be forwarded to your registered email address.
Why are the E-VISA and Entry Fee the practical way to apply?
The whole process is electronically (applying / payment / issuance of Visa or Tourist Card), is time saving, and takes place within a user friendly and secure environment.
Will I definitely get a visa if I apply online? If I get a visa, am I guaranteed entry in Suriname?
The decision to grant entry visas for Suriname is entirely at the discretion of The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Business and International Cooperation. VFS Global cannot guarantee that your E-VISA application will be approved. The ultimate decision for further access to Surinamese territory lies with the (Airport) Immigration Service.
Is there a minimum browser requirement?
Yes, the E-VISA can be applied through Internet Explorer 10, Google Chrome 43, Firefox 38, Opera 29, and Safari 9.
I did not pay attention and provided the wrong e-mail address while I filled out my E-Visa form. How do I proceed?
If you provide an incorrect e-mail address, you will not receive a Login link. Thus, your data will not be properly recorded and you have to apply once again.
I am not receiving e-mails concerning to my E-VISA, although I provided the correct e-mail address while filling my E-VISA form. How do I proceed?

I made a family E-Visa or Entry Fee application. All the E-VISA or Entry Fee applications were approved, except for mine. What should my family do?
Although it is possible to apply as a family, each application is analyzed separately. If your E-Visa or Entry Fee was denied, you can reapply for another E-VISA or E- Tourist Card (but the rest of your family can travel)
If my E-VISA application is rejected, can I apply again?
Yes, you can re-apply using the Online service.
Visa Information
How will I receive my E-VISA or Entry Fee?
All E-Visas or Entry Fees are sent to the email address informed at the time of registration. The E-Visa or E-Touristcard will also be available for download in PDF format when you login to the Suriname visa website.
What are the working days?
Working days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, except for Public Holidays. For the list of public holidays click here
My passport is expiring soon, can I still get a visa?
All visitors must have a passport that is valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival. If your passport validity is less than 6 months, you have to renew your passport before you can apply for E-VISA. The passport should also have at least 1 blank page for use by the Immigration Officer.
Can I apply for a Suriname E-Visa or E-Tourist Card if my passport has only one name and no surnames or only a surname and no name?
Applicants should at least have a Surname to apply for Surinamese E-VISA or E- Tourist Card.
